2012 $1 Silver Proof ‘C’ Mintmark – Wheat Sheaf Dollar Royal Australian Mint

Sheaf Wheat Dollar Coin Silver Royal Australian Mint

Similar to the Ram’s Head Dollar produced in 2011, the 2012 Mintmark Series will feature a replica of the pre-decimal Australian threepence. Also designed by George Kruger Gray, the first wheat sheaf threepence design appeared in circulation from 1938 to 1964.

The imagery depicted on this coin reflects a hardworking Australia that for 120 years has enjoyed an expanding economy because of the successful development of its primary industries.

What better way to celebrate an Australian success story than with the 2012 One Dollar Silver Proof Wheat Sheaf Coin. It is stamped with the Canberra mintmark and presented in a black leatherette case along with its Certificate of Authenticity.
